WHITEFISH - The annual Penguin Plunge is a go for Saturday as part of the Whitefish Winter Carnival.
It might not be the worst feeling jumping into Whitefish Lake in this weather as the water temperature is expected to be at least 20 degrees warmer than the air outside.
There are 32 teams signed up to take the plunge, and more than $27,000 has been raised so far for Special Olympics of Montana.
The Penguin Plunge gets started at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Whitefish City Beach. The event is free and open to the public.
