MISSOULA - A white supremacist group is believed to be behind plastering stickers and flyers around Missoula.
Administrators at the University of Montana's Native American Center found a sticker on their building. It read "Save the White Race! Earth's most Endangered Species." A website for the Montana Creators, a white supremacist group, was listed on the sticker.
The group is a pro-white organization dedicated to the survival, expansion and advancement of the white race. Some Missoula residents also found flyers with a similar "save the white race" message on their cars Monday morning.
Some of the Native American students we spoke to declined to go on camera, but they told us they were offended by the message. Others said sometimes you can't let stuff like this bother you.
"It makes me curious I guess as a psychologist, or a psychologist in training, of what that individuals life experiences and what the values are, and what kind of motivated that person or group to do something like that," says Matthew Croxton, UM Graduate Student.
We put in a call to UM's vice-president, UM police and the group believed to be behind these stickers. We waiting to hear back from them.
