MISSOULA, MT - The bus fleet at the University of Montana is getting larger. The Associated Students of the University of Montana Office of Transportation will add three buses on March 7. The buses replace older equipment to be pulled from the fleet.

The new buses are from Transit Sales International in California. They are all reconditioned to match the UM fleet. One of them is a 30-foot 1997 New Flyer Transit while the other two are 35-foot 1998 New Flyer Transit buses.

ASUM bus ridership increased 13 percent over the 2010-11 academic year. The bus system is expected to give 450,000 rides this year.
