ST. IGNATIUS - Three Illinois teens are still missing and their loved ones believe they are somewhere in Montana.
Back in mid-July two boys ran away from the Pinehaven Children's Christian Ranch near St. Ignatius, which is a facility for troubled teens. Then just 10 days later, two more boys from Illinois also took off.
Now a worried mother is in Montana, searching for her child. Laraine Cornwell says her son Cody, who is one of the missing boys, was dealing with a lot of changes at the ranch before he went missing and she believes he is trying to come home.
"I don't even know how you would get home, a 15 and a 16-year-old kid together how would you get 16 hundred miles on your own with no money, with nothing," Cornwell said.
The Lake County Sheriff's Department told an Illinois TV station that children have run away before from Pinehaven, but usually come back within a day or two.
