The North Fork of the Flathead River is a unique area, where on one side you have national forest service land and on the other, Glacier National Park. And on Sunday, law enforcement officers from both sides of the line converged on the North Fork River, to arrest six individuals.
A group of rafters called 911 on Sunday to report that gunshots were being fired in their direction. The rafters were in the area of the Ford Campground when they say several people allegedly fired in their direction.
Members of the Glacier National Park law enforcement team along with their counterparts from the Flathead National Forest arrived at the location and scoured the scene for evidence.
We know that six individuals were arrested on scene and are currently being held on charges of Criminal Endangerment. Those charges aren't official yet, so we can't release their names, and it is not clear yet exactly what took place on Sunday.
Now further details in this case remain hard to come by as Flathead National Forest law enforcement officers continue their investigation to decide what charges will be filed against these individuals, but what we can tell you is that all six, including three men and three women, remain in the Flathead County Detention Center awaiting those charges.
