BILLINGS - The Acting Director of Indian Health Service will be on the hot seat Tuesday in Billings when Senator Jon Tester will hold a field hearing to address concerns about the quality of health care for Native Americans.
Representatives from Montana and Wyoming tribes - including the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe - will be there to ask questions and raise concerns to Acting Director Dr. Yvette Roubideaux.
Sen. Tester, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, says the focus at the public hearing will be on service delivery and support by the Indian Health Service.
