Meteorologist Russ Thomas comes to Missoula from Shreveport, Louisiana where he spent two years forecasting at KSLA-TV. While in Shreveport, Russ gathered plenty of experience in forecasting severe storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes.

Russ grew up in Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Russ attended Florida State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology in April of 2000.

Russ joined the KPAX weather department in May of 2003 and is excited about forecasting Missoula's ever-changing weather. When Russ is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two beautiful daughters, and baby boy.

Russ is a big sports fan, and can often be found playing softball and basketball. Russ is also an avid, not good, but avid golfer. You can catch Russ weekdays on Montana This Morning on KPAX, Montana's News Station.
