KALISPELL - Immanuel Lutheran is building a modern, 16-bed, rehabilitation center for patients in the Flathead.

Administrators say this new state-of-the-art facility will be more like staying at a resort, than an assisted living home.

Immanuel Lutheran is using part of the $14 million in tax-exempt revenue bonds to fund the construction.

When all is said and done, the center will include large rooms, each with a private bathroom, wi-fi accessibility, a full service menu with meals, a library, game room and a theater.

One of the biggest features is a pool with an underwater treadmill to offer low-impact exercises for improve strength and ability.

Director of Rehabilitation Glen Sargent says they're planning for the future.

"We want to take it to the next generation for the baby boomers and make it just that much better for people to come in and enjoy their stay before they're getting ready to go home"

The rehabilitation center should be completed within a year.
