GREAT FALLS - Taun Kultgen of Havre has been identified as the man who died in an accident at Rainbow Dam on Tuesday.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. at the construction site for a new powerhouse at the dam. Reports indicate that Kultgen, 44, died after getting caught between two large trucks driving by each other.

PPL Montana, who owns the dam, confirmed that Kultgen was a sub-contractor on the project, but referred all further questions to the Cascade County Sheriff's Office which is still investigating the incident.

Kultgen's body was transported to the State Crime Lab in Missoula for an autopsy.

Construction on the powerhouse began last fall and is expected to wrap up in 2012; there are 200 people working on the $230 million project, which is expected to double the amount of power the facility can produce.
