KALISPELL- Businesses and organizations from all around the Flathead Valley will come together next week to provide free services and resources for those who otherwise couldn't afford them.
The Samaritan House and Community Action Partnership of Northwest Montana will host their annual Project Homeless Connect event next Thursday and Friday for homeless or at-risk homeless individuals in the Flathead.
The event will offer about 50 different services including dental, medical, pet care and free haircuts.
Last year, Project Homeless Connect served about 400 people and organizers say for some families, the event is the only time they can afford basic healthcare services.
"When you're looking at being able to pay your rent or feed your children, you're probably not going to be able to find the funds to be able to get your eyeglasses worked on or be able to get your teeth checked or cleaned, and these are services that many people aren't able to provide for themselves," CAPNM Agency Development Director Danielle Bundrock explained.
