DIXON- A Plains woman is dead after her car rolled into a canal on Bench Road in Sanders County on Wednesday night.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper James Sanderson said the 46-year-old victim drove off an embankment and her car ended up on its roof in a canal. He said the woman wasn't wearing her seat belt and was driving too fast, and might have been intoxicated.

The woman's name is not being released at this time.
