MARTIN CITY - A Martin City man was surprised to find a mountain lion come scurrying into his home last week.
John Fraley with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks says the homeowner opened the door to his house to let his house cat in, but the mountain lion was hot on the tail of the cat and followed inside.
The man threw a glass at the lion, but it was able to make a a lap around the home before leaving the way it came in.
Game Wardens gave the homeowners the okay to dispatch the 90 to 100 pound mountain lion along with another one.
Fraley says the lions were approaching homes in the area and had abandoned their natural habitat. He also noted that the last time a similiar incident occured was about 15 years ago near Fox Farm Road.
