HELENA - Emergency crews are at the scene of a reported crash of a small plane north of Helena, off of Glass Drive. Authorities say that although there is no word yet on how many people were on board, there does not appear to be any survivors.
ST. IGNATIUS - Five men who died during the war in Vietnam will be honored in August when the Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall returns to Western Montana and stops in the Mission Valley. The replica of the Washington, DC monument will stop at Good Old Days Park, on Aug. 20, and a short ceremony is being planned as the well traveling between Missoula and Whitefish.
MISSOULA - Health care professionals say that Montana, as well as the nation as a whole, is facing a health care workforce shortage. But the weeklong MedStart camp hopes to help stem that tide by showing high school students a variety of health science fields.
WEST GLACIER - Glacier National Park and the University of Montana are getting ready to begin a three-year research study on how mountain goats are affected by roads, people and trails in the Logan Pass area. The research is a critical component of the current Going-to-the-Sun Road Corridor Management planning effort, as human-wildlife interactions within the corridor is an identified issue of concern, according to a park news release.
