MISSOULA- A scary scene came to Big Sky High School on Thursday as students felt and saw the impacts of a simulated fatal DUI accident.

The Every 15 Minutes program stages a mock drinking and driving crash and involved students from Big Sky High School.

The two-day program aims to teach students the real life consequences of drinking and driving.

Student Zoe Mehlhoff helped organize the event and says even though the event was staged, the scene felt very real.

"Seeing them taken away in the ambulance in the helicopter. The blood, everything is supposed to be so impacting and emotional," she explained.

Mehlhoff is using mock crash as part of her senior project for her English class. Click here to learn for about the Every 15 Minute program.
