HELENA- A Missoula man gave himself a nice bit of extra birthday cash by winning $25,000 in the $25,000 Limited Edition Crossword scratch game from the Montana Lottery.

Matthew Hill purchased some tickets on Saturday at Mullan Station, just one day after his birthday.

Hill is a respiratory therapist, was on-call over the weekend. "Now that I have the check in my hand it finally feels real. I'm still in shock, though," he told lottery officials in Helena.

He plans to use his winnings to pay off some bills and maybe buy a new car.
