MISSOULA - A Missoula man will spend the next 10 years in the Montana State Prison for running a prostitution ring on Craigslist.

Richard Carpita was convicted of aggravated promotion of prostitution and promotion of prostitution.

Prosecutors say he and Anthony Brazington posted prostitution ads on Craigslist and male clients responded to the ads by meeting with one of four girls between the ages of 16 and 19.

Carpita's attorney said in court on Tuesday morning that her client didn't force any of the girls into prostitution and he did it to make money for drugs and alcohol.

Brazington's sentencing is set for next month.

Eleven clients were charged with a misdemeanor in connection with the case.
