BILLINGS- A teenager whose body was pulled from the Yellowstone River Saturday has been identified as Robert Anthony Thompson, of Utah.
Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder says that Thompson, 15, died from drowning and an autopsy did not reveal any signs of trauma indicating foul play.
The boy had been traveling through the area with his family, staying in a semi truck near the bike trail by the Dick Johnston Bridge along Highway 87 East in Lockwood with his sister, mother, and stepfather.
He was last seen at about 3 a.m. on June 25th when he got out of the truck and walked west on the bike trail. Sheriff's deputies responded to a call July 1st about a body spotted on the river about three miles east of the Huntley Bridge.
