MISSOULA- A Missoula man is facing charges for punching a Missoula Police officer in the face, while the officer was trying to help him. Andrew Bedunah has been charged with felony assault on a peace officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest charges.
Missoula Police responded to a home on Longstaff Street on Saturday after Bedunah's father called 911 saying that his son may have overdosed. When officers arrived the defendant was laying on the floor inside the house.
When medical personnel and police officers arrived, Bedunah started swearing and threatening them. During a struggle, Bedunah ripped the two officers' uniforms. He also ended up punching one of them in the mouth causing a cut lip and two chipped teeth.
