KALISPELL- The man who is accused of robbing an Evergreen pharmacy on Saturday and then taking an employee hostage, will face his charges Thursday. Shawn Malarkey, 33, of Kalispell was arrested on Saturday night while trying to leave the Flathead on a train.
Authorities say that at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Malarkey entered an Evergreen Pharmacy with a gun and demanded oxycodone. He then forced an employee into a truck. The employee was ordered to drive to a church on Whitefish Stage, where he was released unharmed.
The truck was later found in a ditch on Tronstad Road and police arrested Malarkey at the Train Depot in Whitefish.
