MISSOULA - Where to Retire magazine has named Missoula one of the best places to retire in its September/October 2010 issue.

THe publication os geared towards helping people with retirement relocation decisions and the current issue features eight college towns.

Where to Retire editor Mary Lu Abbott said that college towns are ideal for retirement because they provide retirees the opportunity to continue their education, enjoy many cultural and sport activities and offer the most affordable homes in the country.

The eight locations chosen were Eugene, OR; Missoula, MT; Fayetteville, AR; Athens, GA; Knoxville, TN; Williamsburg, VA; Madison, WI; and Tallahassee,FL.

Abbott said the magazine chose Missoula because of its abundance in outdoor and cultural activities.
