MISSOULA- The Glacier and Missoula avalanche centers are wrapping up their avalanche advisory season on Friday.

Both centers will stop posting regular updates unless a special advisory is needed. Steve Karkanen of the West Central Montana Avalanche Center and Joy Sather Northwest Montana Avalanche Center report low to moderate avalanche danger in the final report of the season.

They said avalanche danger will trend upward with warming temperatures and heavy snowfall. Missoula's Avalanche Center asked in the final report for outdoor recreators to still send reports of snow conditions through the spring.

"They are very helpful for the hard core skiers and riders chasing winter for as long as possible," he said.
