Lady Griz handle Eastern Washington

MISSOULA - Missoula got to see firsthand another one vs. two battle it out on the hardwood as the Lady Griz entered the day holding down the Big Sky's top spot after ripping off four straight wins, and were looking to make it five as they hosted Eastern Washington.

Lady Eagles leading scorer, and former UM point guard Lexie Nelson, made her return to ZooTown with first place on the line, and she was held to just five points.

It would be a party at the Adams Center when first Maggie Rickman got it down low with the bucket and the foul, as the three-point play would give Montana a 20 point lead.

Later in the second half, there was some pretty passing between four Lady Griz before Carly Selvig knocked it down as Montana shot just a shade under 50% for the game.

Player of the game honors go to Katie Baker who had 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting. And the Lady Griz destroyed Eastern Washington 76-to-51.
