KALISPELL- Kalispell Middle School students will see a familiar face in the principal's office when they return to school in the fall.
Tryg Johnson, who served as assistant principal for 13 years, has been tapped as the new Kalispell Middle School principal. He takes the place of longtime principal Barry Grace who worked in education for 41 years.
Johnson said over the next two years, he and his staff will be implementing the Montana Common Core Standards for education."We're trying to push them in their achievement, to achieve more, and I'm really looking forward to the opportunity of being a part of that," Johnson said.
Jeff Hornby will serve as the new assistant principal at Kalispell Middle School.
