HELENA - The Lewis and Clark County Jail had another suicide attempt Friday night, the fifth attempt the jail has seen in about three months.
A 29-year-old male attempted to hang himself, as well as making self-inflicted cuts on his wrists. This was the inmate's second suicide attempt, according of officials.
He was treated at St. Peter's hospital for minor injuries and was released last night back to the detention center.
Lewis & Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton tells us that the recent number of suicide attempts may say more about certain troubled inmates, rather than an evident trend.
