HELENA- A Helena family lost their home in a trailer fire Friday evening.
East Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to Lanning Road in the Helena valley around 6 pm to find a trailer completely engulfed in flames.
Law enforcement closed down Lanning Road for about an hour while they put out the fire.
Fire Chief Dave Sammons says no one was injured in the fire but the trailer is a complete loss.
"We have folks inside. We are trying to save some valuables, specifically some pictures that the family requested. We have firefighters inside. We have firefighters literally underneath to make sure all the fire is out, but the house is going to be a total loss."
He says Red Cross is available to help the family find a place to stay if they can't make other arrangements.
