It's finally time to take on someone wearing a different color. University of Montana football begins another season this Saturday night. And the Grizzlies have bitten off quite a big first opponent.
Montana will take on the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville. And while the Griz will be huge underdogs for their trip to Rocky Top, the chance to shine on an SEC field provided plenty of motivation throughout preseason practices.
"I think it helped us through camp, just kind of having that goal being a huge SEC football game at the end of camp," said senior linebacker Caleb McSurdy. "So, I think we've all worked extremely hard. I know the venue will be unlike any place I've ever been. And we'll be playing probably the best team that I will see in my career, and definitely this year. So, it's very exciting. And we just have to make sure to do everything right this week in practice and preparation to give us our best chance to compete and win this game."
The Griz take on the Volunteers on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. mountain time. If you have Bresnan/Optimum Digital Cable, you can watch the game on pay-per-view for $25. Just give your cable provider a call at 1-877-Bresnan and ask for the game.
