Avalanche Campground closes September 5th while primitive camping starts at Bowman Lake on September 12th.
Meanwhile, Cut Bank Campground and Fish Creek Campground close on September 5th with primitive camping getting started at Kintla Lake on September 12th.
Logging Creek Campground closes September 26th and any Glacier Primitive camping begins on September 29th.
The Rising Sun and Sprague Creek campgrounds close September 12th while reservations at St. Mary have already ended and it's now first-come, first-serve until September 19th. Primitive camping runs from September 19th to November 30th and then it's winter camping from December 1st until March 31st.

Going-to-the-Sun Road is also ready to call it quite for the summer with the last day to access Logan Pass by vehicle from the west side will be on Sunday, September 18th. Vehicle traffic will be restricted on the west side at Avalanche Creek beginning Monday, September 19th while vehicle access to Logan Pass will be available from the east side of the park through Sunday, October 16th, weather permitting.
The west side is closing early so that road crews can continue working on the historic road and while there will be hiker and biker access on the Going-to-the-Sun Road this fall while road rehabilitation activities are taking place, there may be restrictions in construction zones.
The free shuttle transportation service accessing Logan Pass and locations along the Going-to-the-Sun Road stops running on Labor Day.
