MISSOULA- Missoula International Airport officials aren't saying where Allegiant Travel will be flying with its next service announcement, scheduled to be unveiled at a press conference in Missoula Tuesday.

But judging from the press kit, a cable car ride could be in your future.

The low cost airline has been flying out of Missoula for the past few years, offering travelers discount rates to vacation destinations like Phoenix and Las Vegas. The operation has been growing in the past couple of years as Allegiant has been moving east, offering more options to destinations like Florida.

Missoula airport officials and representatives of Allegiant have scheduled a press conference this morning to give details of "an important announcement about new air service." The airline says it will detail a "new, non-stop service to an exciting vacation destination." A similar press conference is planned in Kalispell.

Although the initial information doesn't say where that will be, the press kit came with two loaves of sourdough bread and a San Francisco cable car coffee mug.

Allegiant just announced last week it was starting non-stop service between Phoenix and San Francisco, with flights going into Oakland International Airport.
