GREAT FALLS- A brief grass fire sparked in a field near the westside Albertsons in Great Falls at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, but firefighters contained the burn to a small area.
Two employees from a fireworks stand on Division Road set off the firework that started the flames, firefighters said and the employees were fined $100.
Fireworks are now legal in Great Falls city limits until midnight July 4, but only on personal property.
The State Fire Marshal has asked all Montanans to not use fireworks at all this year.
