KALISPELL- A 22-year-old Evergreen man who killed a woman before shooting himself in the face has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the second time.
Kenny Weimer was re-sentenced Wednesday after the Montana Supreme Court ruled the original sentence of 40 years imprisonment didn't line up with a plea deal signed with prosecutors.
May 2007, Weimer was sentenced after pleading guilty to mitigated deliberate homicide.
Weimer admitted to shooting Tarisia Caron,18, of Evergreen in the head in what authorities say was an apparent murder-suicide pact.
Both prosecution and defense acknowledge that Caron had asked Weimer to kill her.
Weimer then turned a shotgun on himself attempting to take his own life, but was unsuccessful.
