FRENCHTOWN- Community partners are helping the family who lost all their possessions in a devastating house fire which hit near Evaro Tuesday night.

The American Red Cross responded with aid and the Frenchtown Rural Fire District is also organizing a donation drive to assist the family.

Frenchtown fire crews responded to the fire just after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and found that the other of the household safely evacuated her five children from the home. But, Frenchtown Fire Chief John Bibler says the family lost everything including their two cats and two dogs.

The fire district offered some financial assistance to the family, and is also organizing a donation drive after the family lost everything from clothing to furniture.

If you are interested in helping the family you can call the Frenchtown Rural Fire District's Station 1 for more information on how to help. You can contact Adriane Beck at(406) 626.5791.

Fire officials tell us that the fire was started after one of the children lit a dress on fire with a lighter.
