Democratic candidates are out raising Republicans in all five top elected statewide positions.
In the race for Montana Attorney General democratic candidates Jesse Laslovich and Pam Bucy are neck-and-neck.
In the final quarter of 2011 Bucy out raised Laslovich $36,000 to $29,000. However, Laslovich has raised more money during the entirety of his campaign with $90,000. Bucy has raised $86,000.
Republican candidate Jim Shockley brought in $14,000, bringing his campaign total to $76,000.
The other race with a contested primary is Secretary of State.
Republican candidate Scott Aspenlieder out raised the other two candidates in 4th quarter with $11,000. However, he falls to Democratic incumbent Linda McCulloch in campaign totals.
McCulloch raised $10,000 in 4th quarter bringing her campaign total to $48,000. Aspenlieder has raised $35,000 in total.
Secretary of State Republican candidate Brad Johnson has raised $4,000.
Democratic incumbent Denise Juneau raised $27,000 last quarter in the race for Montana Superintendent of Public Schools. In total she has raised $72,000. Republican newcomer Sandy Welch has raised $11,000.
Democrat Monica Lindeen raised $8,000 in 4th quarter with Republican Derek Skees bringing in $2,000. Lindeen has raised $49,000 in total.
Democratic candidate Steve Bullock dramatically out raised the other 13 candidates for Governor this last quarter.
At $160,000 Bullock has raised nearly $550,000 for his campaign. This puts him ahead of any other candidate.
