HELENA- There's been no decision yet in the case of the disputed $500,000 campaign contribution to Republican governor candidate Rick Hill.
The decision rests with Helena District Judge Kathy Seeley who heard arguments in the case Monday morning.
Democrat governor nominee Steve Bullock is asking the court to stop Hill from spending the $500,000 he received from the state Republican party.
Hill accepted the donation, after a federal judge struck down Montana's campaign contribution law.
But six days later, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals granted a stay, keeping Montana's contribution limits on the books - at least for this election season.
Bullock maintains that action by the court makes Hill's GOP donation "illegal".
Judge Seeley is expected to issue her ruling on Wednesday.
