WEST GLACIER -Glacier National Park officials are investigating the death of a 30-year-old Browning resident who passed away Thursday in the park's Two Medicine Valley.
Park officials say that Clinton Croff was reportedly involved in altercations near road construction traffic on the road into the Two Medicine Valley.
Spokeswoman Amy Vanderbilt explains what Rangers found when they arrived on scene.
"At about 11:30 on Thursday Morning, Clinton Croff, age 30 from Browning was pronounced dead of undetermined causes when the ALERT air ambulance helicopter arrived in the Two Medicine Valley. Mr Croff was reportedly involved in altercations in the vicinity of or near road construction traffic on the road into the Many Glacier Valley late Thursday morning. Vanderbilt could not tell us exactly what type of altercation Croff was involved in before he died, because the matter is under investigation by the National Park Service's Office of Investigative Services, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Montana Highway Patrol have teamed up to investigate the incident.
The body has been taken to the State Crime Lab in Missoula so that an autopsy can be performed.
