CUT BANK- A reported standoff in Cut Bank has apparently now become a search, as authorities continue trying to apprehend a man who may be armed.

All Cut Bank police officers are still out on the streets and police barricades were set up for a while on the southeast end of town, not far from the hospital. Some homes were evacuated.

Hospital staff confirmed they have been on lockdown since about 2:30 pm. and are identifying everyone via security cameras before letting anyone in.

The man police are looking for is familiar with the hospital and that several staff members know him, and they want to make sure the hospital is not an option for him to come and hide.
