COLUMBIA FALLS- The City of Columbia Falls is prepared to ask for financial assistance from the State of Montana in the event an emergency flooding situation occurs.
The City received permission from the Flathead County Commission to seek the state funds if water levels start to cause damage.
Some homeowners have already reported getting water from Trumble Creek seeping into their crawl spaces.
Columbia Falls city leaders are breathing a sigh of relief when it comes to the Flathead River, which has dropped 2' since last week.
