MARION - A few months ago, 2-year-old Georgia Mercer was suffering from swelling in her face.
Her mother took her to the dentist, thinking the girl's molars must have been coming in, but a dentist found no molars, and recommended Georgia go the emergency room.
That's when doctors diagnosed Georgia with Leukemia.
The little girl was immediately flown to Spokane Children's Hospital, where she is receiving treatment.
Family and friends of baby Georgia are throwing a benefit party to raise money for treatment.
The event starts tomorrow at the Rail Line Tavern in Marion, 266 Pleasant Valley Road.
Poker run signups will begin at 10 a.m., followed by an auction at 4:30 p.m.
Dinner and live music will kick off at 5 p.m.
