Senator Max Baucus held a Thursday conference call with Montana senior citizens and told them that health reform will help them, but a new poll shows over half of seniors are not sold on that thinking.
Baucus says Medicare will be better with cost savings from cutting down on fraud and waste, and prescription drugs will cost less.
Montana AARP says more than 5,000 members dialed into a conference call for the chance to ask Baucus about the overhaul that has left many confused.
A recent Associated Press-GfK survey found that 54% of seniors opposed the legislation as it was taking final shape in Congress.
