KALISPELL - The president of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Craig Fuller is encouraging the city's mayor and council to move forward on plans for upgrading the Kalispell City Airport.
Voters will choose the fate of the Kalispell City Airport in the November election, deciding either to use Federal Aviation Administration funds for upgrading the city airport or using city monies for improvements.
Fuller toured the airport during a visit to Kalispell for the Recreational Aviation Foundation's Glacier summit.
He praised the role the airport plays in the region, saying many local businesses depend on the airport for easy access to aviation, and it adds more than $20 million a year to the local economy.
