KALISPELL - The Kalispell School Board has approved an amendment that will add more than $70,000 to the 2013-2014 budget.
The additional funding comes on the heels of Senate Bill 175, which allows school districts with an enrollment increase of at least 40 students to apply for additional state funding.
A handful of elementary classrooms in the Kalispell School District have been out of accreditation for the last three years.
The funding will be applied toward teaching aides to help meet classroom accreditation numbers, and will also be used to buy supplies, materials and books.
