BIG SKY- Four people are recovering after they fell from a chair lift at Big Sky Resort earlier this weekend.

The accident happened just after 1 p.m. on Saturday when Big Sky officials say an instructor and three students fell from the Ramcharger lift.

A special event was taking place at the time so the ski patrol was on hand when the accident happened and was able to respond immediately.

Their injuries appear to be minor at this time and the recent snowfall may have helped break their fall.

There's no word on what may have caused the accident.
