TOWNSEND- A Bozeman man died Thursday in a crash near Townsend in Broadwater County.
The Montana Highway Patrol report the wreck happened on Highway 287 at mile marker 82 at around 10:15 Thursday morning.
The driver of a cement mixer truck was heading south on Highway 287 when the driver of a Ford Ranger pickup truck traveling north veered into the southbound lane, hitting the cement truck head-on.
The driver of the pick-up, a 76-year old man, died on the scene.
MHP reports that both drivers were wearing seat belts and add that speed was not a factor in the crash. The accident is still being investigated and authorities say it's not yet known if alcohol played a role in the fatale wreck.
The driver of the cement truck was a 33-year old man from Absarokee who was not injured.
