Containment grows on wildfire near Philipsburg

PHILIPSBURG - Crews are continuing to gain ground on the Rumsey Gulch Fire that's burning just outside of Philipsburg.
Fire officials reports the blaze is holding at just under 350 acres, and that containment has grown to 90%.

Officials: Tree on power line sparked Rumsey Gulch Fire

PHILIPSBURG - A fallen tree that struck a power line is being blamed for a fire that consumed five homes near Philipsburg this week.

Suspect in custody in connection with Helena-area wildfires

HELENA - Lewis & Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton tells us that one person is in custody in connection with the fires that are burning northeast of Helena.
Sheriff Dutton has not yet released the person's name, or indicated what charges the person may be facing.

Pioneer Fire fully contained near Wise River
